Alwar - Students took oath to combat female feticide

Government Middle School and Government Girls School
Discussion held with students about discrimination against girls and killing of females child in womb. Students took oath to combat female feticide.
People from the village were made aware of the MAG Patrika Connect program and they pledged to support in all developmental activities.

Alwar - School Students have a view on Female Foeticide, Demand Gender Equality
Place: Javli village, Tehsil Laxmanghar, Alwar
MAG volunteers visited Ashvani School at the time of morning assembly. Discussed the problem and social impact of female foeticide with the students of classes 6th to 10th. They were told about the extent of the problem by presenting recent data on sex ratio. The students responded by joining the debate and offered to assist in creating public consensus against this evil. Later, all present at the venue pledged to unite in the fight
against female foeticide.
A similar discussion was held with the students of Adarsh Sarasvati Ucch Prathmik Vidyalaya, and the students charged with the passion of unity, organized a rally to create public awareness about the plight
of females. They carried banners highlighting the importance of the girl child in social life and shouted slogans demanding equal rights for girls everywhere.
Alwar - MAG organised health check up camp @ school campus
Place: Adarsh Sarasvati Ucch Prathmik Vidyalaya, Javli
A health checkup camp was organized at the school campus. 70 students were examined for signs of malnutrition and other diseases. Parents of children who had clinically apparent problems were counseled for seeking appropriate treatment. Several elders from the community who sought medical advice also visited the camp. Health tips were given to the students and they were told about the importance of hand washing, proper brushing of teeth, exercise and the nutritional value of fruits and vegetables.
